Hey Tumblr (and subsequently, all other social media while we're at it), I don't want to see these "recommended" posts "for you" posts or "based on your interests" posts or whatever the fuck. I want to see posts from people I FOLLOW.

I had no problem finding new blogs to follow on my own before the "for you" and "recommended" posts became a thing. I would read additions to reblogs, I would go to the tag page of whatever I'm interested in finding blogs to follow about (like I'd go to the Destiel tag, for example, and read around for interesting posts and then check out those blogs and decide if I want to hit "follow"). That's how I decided if I wanted to follow someone or not.

Just because I liked a post about... say, a political figure or a dog or whatever, doesn't mean I want to see politics crap or cute dogs all over the place as I scroll just because I liked that one post.

#I HATE that this “For you” shit came from TikTok aka the cancer of the social medias #for you #recommended #tumblr #helloooo stop #social media shit #These social media shits want to control what we do no kidding #I HATE THE ALGORITHM SHIT #like once upon a time you posted something and it was SEEN #now things are HIDDEN so you have to be posting CONSTANTLY and that applies to YOUTUBE and all others #and these recommended posts are all because of the fucking algorithms picking and choosing which posts to push #it makes me so angry #because now for example you want to promote a book or whatever on instagram now you have to pay for ads #because if not NO ONE WILL FUCKING SEE YOUR POST #the algorithm game is destroying the internet for the common people but what did we expect...

It is so unbelievably frustrating how the algorithm timeline keeps defaulting in a place that has been free of algo bullshit for so long. I cannot tell if it’s a glitch or if they’re just pushing it intentionally. It’s at least easy to go back to the following feed, but with bluesky users more and more depending on the discover feed and tumblr defaulting to the algorithm timeline it just feels like ‘be twitter’ is the shitty destiny being pushed everywhere.

YouTube is so damn biased towards alpha male content I keep getting it recommended to me even though I click "not interested" every single time I see this shit

I was wondering what the actual fuck, why am I getting it if it's nowhere close to what I usually watch and I do an extra step of saying "not interested" when I see it

I have a theory why

I have gender set to male in my profile

YouTube might be rigged in such an absolutely fucked up way based on this profile setting alone

If anyone here use YouTube a lot from a profile with gender set to male, does it happen to you as well?

AI relies on stolen material. Using it is unethical. And using it write fics is really fucked up even if AO3 allows it.

ive been on twitter too much, this is true, but im actually really tired of "tony fumbled jade" cuz i feel like ive been seeing more of it lately—yeah no this is a twitter thing but i refuse to tweet now. but my point is that like. no he didn't. she was always gonna go to wwe. she wanted to go to wwe, they fucked up and said no, she went to aew, did the work, made herself one of the biggest names in wrestling and proved that they were idiots, and now they want her. like. there's pros and cons to both, obvs, and as of now, wwe has more connections for bigger outside of wrestling opportunities. clearly she doesn't need the money, cuz we know tk is willing to outbid wwe. it wasn't a fumble, she was always gonna leave.
